Andy Wintle
Director
Private Practice – Partners
My main focus is on the law firm partner market in London and the South-west; having worked in this market for over 20 years. Prior to this, I was a (willing, though not particularly able) corporate finance lawyer, at Eversheds and then Numis PLC.
I work with both individual partners and teams, predominantly within the UK mid/upper mid-tier and understand the rhythm, nuance and intricacies of this market. Working across a range of non-contentious practice areas I ‘lean’ towards sectors such as technology, energy, infrastructure, financial services, and the built environment.
I have a particular niche in the planning and consenting (DCOs/NSIPs) sectors and am a member of NIPA.
I have a reputation for being proactive and taking the long view and try to listen more than I talk. My aim is to be honest, clear, and transparent in any recruitment process, adding value and providing constructive insights and solutions. Junior lawyers who I worked with in the early part of my career are now instructing us as Partners or Heads of Department; the benefits of a philosophy to build and maintain relationships over the long term and reflecting the consistency of our approach.
On a personal note. I have always been committed to equality and fairness in both my professional and personal life, having for many years been the trustee of a charity which promotes inclusion, activities, and opportunity for young people with disabilities. I am also a Mental Health First Aider.
